Exams Catalunya has won the Outstanding Service to Preparation Centres Award at the Platinum Centre of the Year Awards 2013, organised by Cambridge English Language Assessment. The prestigious awards ceremony, held at the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge recently, is an annual event that recognises outstanding achievement for the English exam sector.
The award was presented to Caroline Lewis who is the Centre Examinations Manager at Exams Catalunya at a special ceremony that coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Cambridge English exams. The centre impressed the judges for their close customer centred approach to its 280 preparation centres. Areas that particularly impressed the judges included their monthly newsletter, free seminars and approaches to support and teacher training.
‘We’re really impressed by the customer focussed approach adopted by Exams Catalunya,’ commented Juliet Wilson, Director of Network Services at Cambridge English Language Assessment. “They’ve put a whole range of measures in place that help preparation centres with training, support and many other areas that help to deliver Cambridge English exams. This year we’re celebrating our 100th Anniversary and our exam centres have always been an important part of our success. I’d like to congratulate all of the winners this evening for helping to bring the benefits of Cambridge English to an ever-growing number of learners around the world.”
The annual awards were open to Cambridge English Language Assessment’s Platinum Centre Network – an initiative set up to recognise highly active Cambridge English exam centres. Cambridge English Language Assessment currently has 68 Platinum Centres based around the world.
